The Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Regulation defines "powered mobile equipment" as a self-propelled machine or combination of machines, including a prime mover or vehicle, used to manipulate or move material, move workers or provide a powered aerial device for workers.
Specifically, Part 22 of the WSH Regulation outlines safety requirements related to powered mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts, powered lift trucks, concrete pump trucks, dump trucks). There are also specific requirements for powered lift trucks, concrete pump trucks, dump trucks and working on ice.
