Q: Where can I find industry-specific committee safety information?

A: Thanks, this is a great question. Each industry has unique safety and health requirements. For specific committee safety information, you should first reference the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulation, if you are provincially regulated, or the Canada Labour Code Part II if you are federally regulated.
Another great source of industry-specific committee safety information is your industry-based safety program (IBSP). In Manitoba, there are five IBSPs. Each of these IBSPs represents a different industry and offers services to eligible employers. These IBSPs are a wealth of knowledge and information, providing industry-specific resources, training and consulting services.
