Norm the Safety Contest - 2021 Winners

Congratulations to the 2021 Norm the Safety Contest winners!

Faced with the challenge of demonstrating how to be safe at work, Manitoba students showcased their talents and delivered some creative ideas as part of the annual Norm the Safety Contest - Make Safety the Norm. Students from College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate were awarded top honours winning the top three awards for their safety videos. This year's theme was "Let's Practice SAFE Work". Students were asked to submit projects that were creative, engaging and would help raise awareness among young workers.

First Place: Message Not Delivered video​​

College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate Grade 12 students Kevin Manness and Trent Thorsteinson took first place in our Norm the Safety Contest - Make Safety the Norm, for their video, Message Not Delivered. They will share a $2,500 prize with Sturgeon Heights receiving a matching $2,500.

 

Second Place: 3D Safety Implementation video

College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate Grade 12 student Shea Coughlin earned second place for the video, 3D Safety Implementation, and will receive a prize of $1,500, with another $1,500 going to the school.

 

Third Place: Safe Work video

College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate students Bryce Bryson, Jaiden Bryce, and Luke Eastveld, also in Grade 12, placed third for their video, Safe Work, and will share a $1,000 prize with another $1,000 going to Sturgeon Heights.
