Each year in Canada, we take April 28 to remember workers we lost to workplace injuries and illnesses with a National Day Of Mourning. Canada was the first country to commemorate this day, but it is now observed in over 80 countries around the world.
SAFE Work Manitoba encourages all Manitobans to remember those we lost and invites you to attend events that will be held on Friday, April 26 in Winnipeg to commemorate and honour these workers.
Time: 11:45 a.m.
SAFE Work Manitoba — a division of the WCB is the public agency dedicated to the prevention of workplace injury and illness.
Working with our partners in the safety community, we provide prevention education, safety programming, consulting and strategic direction to create a genuine culture of safety for all Manitobans.
