​​​Course Description 

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) has aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. This course is intended for workers who work with or may be exposed to hazardous products at work. The course reviews groups, classes and categories of hazardous products, product labels and Safety Data Sheets. This course also familiarizes workers with WHMIS 2015 and incorporates specific legislation from the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.

This e-learning course provides Manitoba workers with general WHMIS education. Employers must also provide work site specific training. Reference Workplace Safety and Health Regulation Part 35 for specific requirements.
