Safety is not something we often think of celebrating. But passing every day without a workplace injury is something we all should strive for. From May 5 to 10, let’s celebrate North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week by highlighting the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace and at home.

April 28th is a Day of Mourning dedicated to remembering workers who have been killed, made ill, or injured on the job. In 2007, over 800 workers died from workplace injury and illness across Canada.
Please join SAFE Workers of Tomorrow for the Leader's Walk to remember those who have lost their lives, and commit to making our workplaces safer for everyone.
The walk will begin at 11:45 a.m. on April 28 starting at the Union Centre Building at 275 Broadway and progress down Broadway to the Legislative Building where 100 – 150 students will participate in a media event outlining what students want to see in their workplaces that will protect their safety at work.
